The Bullet Boot TPO pipe flashing is a new patented product is designed to aesthetically replace the older, more time consuming pipe flashings at a competitive price. This is a one-piece flexible design that goes on the outside as well as the inside of the pipe. Our boots have one hundred percent UV protection. Furthermore, the boots make an ideal flashing for all types of TPO roofing. Additionally, all our boots come with rodent screen built in the top. This prevents rodents, birds, and other critters from entering the vent. As well, the screen prevents unwanted debris from entering the vent. Finally, there is no need to paint since it comes in many colors to match virtually any roof application.

What Is Tpo Roofing
Thermoplastic Polyolefin is a single-ply roofing membrane that is one of the fastest-growing commercial roofing systems on the market. TPO roofing systems are made up of a single layer of synthetics and reinforcing scrim that can be used to cover flat roofs.
TPO membranes are manufactured in sheets that are 10, 12, or 20 feet wide. These sheets are then rolled up and taken to the commercial facility.
TPO has gained industry acceptance with the natural reflective surface to reflect UV rays. As reported by the National Roofing Contractors Association TPO takes up about 40% of the commercial roofing market share.
About Rubber Roof Membranes
Rubber roof membranes were developed in the 1960s. EPDM was first employed in waterproofing applications as pond liners. As these membranes were installed on roofs, they used stone or ballast to hold them down. EPDM gained popularity during the oil embargo of the 1970s. As the supply of oil decreased, asphalt prices went up as well as the demand for a lower cost roofing solution.
EPDM is available in 45mil, 60mil, or 90mil thicknesses and either non-reinforced or reinforced. Reinforced EPDM utilizes a polyester mat encapsulated between two plies of EPDM. This construction provides fatigue and puncture resistance. Membrane sheets range in size depending on the project in order to reduce the number of seams.
EPDM can be installed in three ways loose laid, fully adhered, and mechanically attached. The loose laid installation requires ballast such as river rock or pavers to hold the membrane in place. Fully adhered is a method where the membrane is completely glued in place using commercial grade adhesives rolled on both the backside of the membrane and the substrate. Mechanical attachment utilizes screws and plates to hold the membrane in place. The fully adhered method is recommended because it prevents water migration under the membrane in case of a membrane puncture.

Contact each manufacturer whose product you like and ask what the warranty is. If a rep tells you the products comes with a 20 year warranty, inquire exactly what it covers and what is excluded. Some warranties are marketing gimmicks meant to lure you in to buying the product.
Request from the manufacturer any studies or field tests that have been conducted on the TPO system. Review them to see how the membrane performed.
As a rule of thumb, invest into the thickest membrane you can afford, regardless of the manufacturer.
Make sure that the roofing contractor you are working with has experience installing TPO using the method and standards outlined by the manufacturer. Different TPO roofs have their own installation specs that need to be strictly followed to ensure the membranes integrity. Improper installation will not only put your roof at risk for leaks and other serious damage, but will also render your warranty null and void.
