Lastly, be sure to stay off the roof until the elastomeric roof coating is cured. It should dry within a day or so. However, it may take up to a week to be fully cured in perfect weather. Remove Covers And Fins

If youre here, then you have probably determined you need to apply a rubber coating to your RVs roof and you want to do it yourself.
Here is the general process for applying an RV rubber roof coating. Keep in mind that you need to confirm your RVs roof type prior to starting this project. Also, make sure you follow the directions of the specific rubber coating product you choose to use.
In general, there are two highly recommended RV rubber coating products for EDPM roofs: Dicors Roof Coating System and Hengs Rubber Roof Coating.
1. Prepare your roofs surface to apply the Dicor Roof Coating System.

NOTE: Entire project must be completed in one day including cleaner/activator application, rinsing, and 2 coats of acrylic coating, each dry to the touch.
Start with the cleaner/activator product after sweeping any large debris off the roof. Make sure you protect your RVs components and sides by taping plastic onto those areas.
After cleaning, the roof should be white in color, which is an indication that the surface has been chemically altered.

Step 1: Visual Inspection and Replacement of Damaged Building Materials
The substrate and roof to be coated must be in SOUND condition. Physically inspect and repair or replace all damaged areas back to sound and solid condition. Check for drainage to insure no ponding water on lower slope roofs and make sure the roof is adequately vented.
Step 2: Pressure Cleaning
Pressure clean entire roof surface using a water and chlorine solution to remove all surface contaminants. When roof is completely cleaned, rinse with water only and let it dry for at least 12 hours before continuing with project. Apply Polyester Membrane And Patching Compound
Tietex polyester membranes are 100% polyester, stitch-bonded fabrics that do not rely on adhesives. These membranes are very strong and help to reinforce roof membranes while providing water protection. The Tietex polyester membranes come in rolls, and you should place them over large cracks, joints, and seams along the roof.
Fill in any large cracks using Elasto White Patching Compound, which can fill voids and cracks to prevent water ponding. For additional strength, use the Elasto White Patching Compound with added polyester. Remember that the patching compound will need to dry completely before you move forward with the roof coating process.
